PTI's march for Imran Khan's release, from Lakki Marwat toward Swabi: where it went each day, who joined, how many actually showed up, and where the news reports disagree.
The talks collapsed on the morning of 4 Oct, mostly over who runs counter-terror policy in KP. So PTI's march went ahead: north up the Indus Highway, from its southern base toward the motorway at Swabi.
CM Sohail flies in by helicopter and starts the march at Gandi Chowk. Police on site say 8,000 to 15,000 people; AFP says "thousands". Meanwhile Gandapur's convoy sets out from D.I. Khan to join.
The D.I. Khan convoy, the biggest of the day, gets stopped at Yarik Toll Plaza. Gandapur blames Section 144; the governor says there was none. After hours it turns back. Only Aaj News says it joined.
People from Bannu join at the Bannu–Karak border, where CM Sohail calls it "a Test match that becomes a T20 in two days". Karak near midnight, camp at Jail Chowk. Police: down to hundreds by now. Karak's phones go dark.
Morning speech in Karak, then up the highway to Kohat. Big welcome, night at Lachi football ground. In Islamabad, ministers start saying "governor's rule". Bilawal calls that an atomic bomb.
Rally at University Chowk, then Hangu, Kurram and Orakzai roll in from the west. Nobody counted them. CM Sohail changes the route: Khyber first, Peshawar after.
Camp at Mattani, then west to Bara, CM Sohail's home tehsil. He says he was offered Imran's medical care in exchange for signing off a new military operation, and refused. Decision point moves from Khairabad to Swabi. Khyber and Peshawar lose signal.
A Landi Kotal convoy comes down the pass to Bara. The High Court sends CM Sohail a notice over the helicopter. Due at Hayatabad at 2 pm, in after 6, "hundreds" waiting. Next stop: Charsadda.
On the far side of the Indus, Punjab blocks the roads at Attock and Taxila with shipping containers and sandbags. Federal ministers say the march will not enter Punjab or Islamabad.
Speech at Bakhshi Bridge, then on to Charsadda as Peshawar's phones come back. At Shabqadar Chowk CM Sohail invites the whole country to Swabi Interchange. Governor Kundi dares them to cross Swabi. Reporting ends here.
Mardan Saturday, then Swabi Interchange, on the 11th or 12th depending on who you read. Kohat, Bannu and D.I. Khan convoys first; Peshawar and Malakand on the 13th, when the next move is announced. Nothing after that.
